Old Bay Bridge Detonation: November 7, 2015 at 9am

Back in September, 2013, the new Bay Bridge replaced the old Bay Bridge. This weekend, on Saturday at approximately 9am, the old Bay Bridge will be imploded with explosives.

In a matter of 6 seconds, the old Bay Bridge is going from a big heap of concrete and steel to a nonexistent structure. According to local news reuters, this explosion can be viewed in-person and/or on the Internet.

If you plan to visit San Francisco and/or leave the city, keep in mind that traffic will be closed down both ways for about 15 minutes. Plan SFO trips, work, and other engagements accordingly.

***San Mateo Bridge is an alternative route for SFO trips. Richmond Bridge and through Golden Gate Bridge is another alternative route into and out of San Francisco.
