Ridesharing Annual Vehicle Inspections Due Soon: August 31, 2015

Ridesharing drivers are expected to get vehicle inspections once a year. Upon activation and every year thereafter, vehicle inspections are mandatory to keep operable.

Uber, Sidecar and Lyft set company policies to stay consistent with ridesharing laws. California Public Utilities Commission enacted such laws to protect public users.

August 31, 2015 is the deadline to complete and upload vehicle inspection forms. These 19-point vehicles are mandated for all ridesharing drivers performing driving services. Their approved vehicles must have a valid 19-point inspection form on file.

For all vehicles without a completed 19-point inspection, ridesharing companies are likely to temporarily deactivate these vehicles until proper evidence of this inspection is submitted.

Uber set their vehicle inspection deadline for August 31, 2015. Don't wait until the last minute to get this completed. Stay on top of vehicle inspections to keep driver accounts active.
