Terminator 5 is filming in San Francisco

The fifth installment in The Terminator franchise is shooting in San Francisco near California Street toward downtown. Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to The Terminator franchise which catapulted his acting career and made him an international superstar. The Terminator 5, dubbed as Terminator: Genesis, falls into the post-apocalyptic sub-genre of action films.

Two potential blockbuster movies are also shooting in San Francisco. The movie San Andreas, starring Dwayne Johnson, is currently filming in the city by the Bay. This movie title, San Andreas, is a dead giveaway regarding the subject matter where a massive earthquake hits California. Hopefully, this storyline stays within the movie and is not a prelude to the Big One. Marvel Studios' Ant Man is slated to film in San Francisco within the next few weeks.

If you drive as a ridesharing driver in San Francisco, you never know whether you will be requested to pick up a Hollywood star. Uber, Lyft and SideCar are in high demand right now. Movie productions are contributing to San Francisco, developing jobs for local residents that stimulate the San Francisco economy.
