Know the traffic rules and tactics in San Francisco to avoid tickets

SFMTA is a sneaky organization that tries to maximize citations through increasing the use of cameras. The SFMTA can monitor vehicles using "Bus only Lanes" via cameras mounted on the front of their buses. Furthermore, their cameras can detect red light violators and those who fail to stop before making a right turn on a red light.

Cameras are giving SFMTA leverage in issuing tickets to drivers without having citation officers present to print out tickets. Ridesharing drivers must be careful to avoid getting a ticket.

Read the following SFMTA policy on camera enforcement. This may reduce future tickets and save you money in the process. Driving in San Francisco is a challenge, so be very careful to avoid citations.

Good luck. Happy ridesharing!
