How much do Lyft drivers earn?

Typically, Lyft drivers make more money working the busiest times on weekend nights. The best shifts to work are Friday 5pm-2am, Saturday 5-2am and Sunday 10am-7pm.

Lyft drivers who secure Friday and Saturday evening shifts can earn anywhere from $30-$50 an hour depending on frequency of trips, length of time and distance traveled. Getting long trips out of a big city can earn a Lyft driver more than $40 an hour.

Usually, Lyft drivers make on average of $30-36 an hour working between 6-9 hours per Friday and Saturday night. Drivers can earn $25 an hour after commission on weekdays. The best times to work are morning commute between 7am-10am and evening commute 5pm-7pm.

Lyft has gotten so popular that their ridesharing service is available at all times. At one point last year, Lyft driver's were unable to accept 30% of ride requests. This means many riders couldn't secure a ride they wanted at a particular time on a weekend night.

How much do Lyft drivers make:

$30-36 an hour on busy weekend nights
$30 an hour on weekend daytime shifts
$20-25 on weekday am and afternoon hours

The earnings may have changed, but for the most part these are what you can expect to make as a Lyft driver.
