Driver tip: Maximize ridesharing

Want to make money ridesharing? A good driver tip is to get out there during the busiest hours. If you plan to work in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco, drive on weekend nights between 5pm-3am. Busy times guarantee business and this translates into automatic earnings.

On Saturday morning at 3am-6am, I gave exactly 9 rides. And one of these 9 rides was an airport trip that paid nearly $40. I got another ride back to Kaiser hospital on Geary Blvd that paid another $20+. On Saturday night, a ride out out to the deepest part of the Sunset and then to SF State and a ride back to Mission and Market paid $80+.

Finding the best times to work can maximize your earnings. If you drive 6-10am and 5-8pm on Monday-Thursday, and stay online 90% of the time, you will make great money. It wouldn't be over exaggerating to suggest your daily earnings would amount to $200-$300+ per day. Another option is to drive 5pm-11pm Monday-Thursday to earn over $200+ per day.

It really depends on when you want to work. The beauty of ridesharing is that you choose your own hours. Want to work more hours or less hours? You have an opportunity to be your own boss. Want to go on a movie and/or television audition? You can do this with ridesharing. Maybe you can add new riders and make money after auditioning for a movie role.

Writers can use ridesharing as a source of income to improve their creativity. No writer enjoys writing under intense financial scrutiny, so ridesharing gives them added flexibility to get their creative juices flowing. Pitch your stories to riders interested in your writing.

Ridesharing is a great job alternative to help art, writing and english majors to become successful. There's money to be made. Drivers must work the best hours to maximize their earnings.

The best shifts to work in San Francisco and other larger cities:
Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-9:00am and 5pm-7pm
Friday: 7:00-9am, 5pm-3am
Saturday: 5pm-3am
Sunday: 10am-6pm

Alternative busy hours to work:
Monday-Thurs: 5pm-11pm
Friday: 3pm-3am
Saturday: 10am-3am
Sunday: 7pm-11pm

Drive during surge pricing. The GEO surge map will tell drivers where the most requests are coming from and how much surge pricing is attached to regions which riders are ordering rides within.

Happy ridesharing!
